I don't know how to post a picture of it but, my character is a girl and I've so far gotten misgendered on the ship twice.
Once by a character saying "us guys" and the actress calling me "handsome".
Just so you know (and my source is I'm a native english speaker) "guys" in the plural is a gender neutral term.
For example, my male and female friend are sitting down for lunch sharing a meal and I ask them "What are you guys eating?"
Edit: You could even use it if both the friends were female in that situation.
Long story short... guys is an awesome and inoffensive way to refer to a group of many kinds of genders and identities. It's great
It can only be "misused" in the singular. For example if I called a girl a guy directly, that would be... rude "That guy over there"
